Hey folks, this is a follow up to our previous post, “Twitter’s Profile Update: Make Your Profile Yours”, which was about the new Twitter profile header image feature and how users can use it to help spread their brand messages, etc. In the last post we explained how to get yours going and what you might use it for and in this post, we will feature some of the creativity already being displayed with the Twitter profile header image. Here is a recently (and randomly, I might add) whipped up logo creation. No real rhyme or reason behind this one, it just popped into my head when I was working on a design for a client’s website. Funny how that happens sometimes. ;-) Enjoy!! (This logo is a fictional work which was created with no intentional reference to any actual company.) Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to leave a comment about this logo or anything else on your mind.

As part of our “From the Lab” series, I will be presenting some ideas and experiments that we currently have going on. In this “From the Lab”, I will explore a different way to employ a CAPTCHA test on a web form. So what is CAPTCHA? To start, CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing Test To Tell Computers and Humans Apart) is a common technique deployed on web forms to avoid spam messages or bogus information being sent through them. CAPTCHA often manifests itself as an obtuse set of characters that you have to enter in order to submit information through the [...]

This graphic started out as an info graphic and quickly became a crazy combobulation of different correlations and results. Technically, it is many interconnected multi-sided venn diagrams but instead of the middle being the specifically shared trait, it is instead, the probable winner of a celebrity death match between the correlated parties. I am not sure what that makes this. I call it an infographic but maybe it is not… (click on the image to see the full size version of it…FYI, it is massive.) This is the creation of Big Cloud Media. Feel free to share it but please give credit [...]

Big Cloud Media here, providing all of your web, marketing, web-marketing and website solutions in one stop. The topic today is “Ask an Expert” and it is a concept that affects every business. I will start with a couple of questions we can all relate too: When you don’t know how to fix the heater in your house, are you more likely to do it yourself or call an expert? Does it often turn into a crazy mess and end up costing more if you take it on yourself? Does the heater tech’s expertise in the area make the job [...]

I have been tracking the winter olympics on TV and I finally made my way over to nbcolympics.com and I have to say Kudos for them, it rocks! Often time the mega sites tend to be an extreme amount of info crunched into a small amount of space that we just deal with. In the case of nbcolympics.com, the layout and the way the info is presented actually makes you want to find out more. This welcome change in presentation is refreshing and a great sign of things to come, hopefully. If you are diggin’ the winter Olympics I highly recommend [...]

As it turns out, Google has some geniuses working for them. Oh, alright, you already knew that but really, a Google provided fiber network for consumer use? Hot diggity! Sign me up! Pure Genius! Supposedly the consumers selected for this test run (the lucky 50,000 for now spread across the US ) will have access to a 1Gbps fiber connection at a price competitive with other broadband providers. That’s a Gigabit per second speed. In layman’s terms, insanely fast internet or “…internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today,” according to the BBC [...]
